|| The Read to Succeed 2 Contest Has Begun!

NCES is participating in Achieve3000’s Read to Succeed 2 contest, a school-wide race to accelerated literacy gains and GMEOG, GMEOC-E9 and GMEOC-E11 preparedness. One class in every school can win a class celebration!

Here’s How It Works:

From February 12 through March 9, encourage students to complete lessons on our differentiated literacy platform. Every activity that a student completes, whether in class, at home, or anywhere else, earns your class a point. Plus, if a student’s first-try score is between 75% and 87%, the class earns 2 points. And for a score between 88% and 100%, the class earns 3 points! The class in your school with the most points at the end of the contest wins!

Capture your Child's Memories! Yearbooks are now on sale!! Before Feb. 01 — $22.00, after Feb. 01 — $25.00, Name printed on cover add $6.00

For Social Studies the third 9 weeks, you will be required to read 1 Historical Fiction Book. It MUST be an AR book. 50% of your grade will be based on the AR score of your book. Make sure to follow the format for the Book Talk.
This Book Talk, for the third 9 weeks, is due by March 5, 2018! If you finish it early, go ahead and turn it in!

Parents, we are still having issues with students being dropped off in the front of the school and not being walked into the building by a parent. This is a safety hazard. Please help us keep your child SAFE!

Parents - We are monitoring attendance closely! Please have your child at school on time each and every day! We can't teach them when they are not here! 7:45-2:15

Please remember to sign the behavior calendar for the week and return it on Monday.

Parent Portal: Make sure you are keeping up with your child's grades by stopping by the school to receive your Log– in information to the Parent Portal . Ms. Lisa or Ms. Candice will be glad to help you!

ALL homework/projects are due on the due date. ANYTHING late will be a zero for that activity. If you need to email me, please feel free to do so! marino.joellen.k@muscogee.k12.ga.us
